The wide range exists because "CSM" is not one job. Industry, seniority, location, and comp structure all swing it. A non-tech SMB role and an enterprise SaaS role can share a title yet differ by $70k.

- Pull three real CSM postings in your target city.
- Write down the posted base ranges.
- Anchor to those, not to averages.
- Then set the floor you will not go below.
